Our Devices

Vuse offers a range of Vapour Product ‘systems’ (device + e-liquid source + heating atomiser) to accommodate the breadth of consumer preferences across the category.

Aerosol is generated when the e-liquid is heated, without combustion, by the atomiser within the Vuse system. The heating atomisers in Vuse are either a ceramic microporous substrate with printed metallic heating track or a metallic wire/mesh that is in contact with a cotton wick. The ceramic microporous substrate and cotton wick draw the e-liquid to the heating atomiser.

Our e-Liquids

Vuse e-liquids only use high-quality ingredients; typically, water, propylene glycol and glycerol, flavourings, and nicotine. Vuse e-liquid ingredients are assessed by our team of EU-registered toxicologists.

e-liquide

Closed, Rechargeable Systems

The device is rechargeable and used in conjunction with a separate e-liquid cartridge that contains the heating atomiser. The e-liquid cartridge is closed, which means the consumer cannot refill the e-liquid or change the heating atomiser. The cartridge is disposed of once empty.

Closed, Disposable Systems

Typically, the device is not rechargeable, and the e-liquid and heating atomiser are not separable from the system. As the system is closed, the consumer cannot refill the e-liquid or change the heating atomiser. The full system is disposed of once empty.

Open, Rechargeable Systems

The device is rechargeable, and the consumer can change the heating atomiser and refill the e-liquid tank when required. Heating atomisers are recommended to be changed every two to four weeks or when a deterioration in vapour performance is observed.

The Evolution of Our Vapour Products

Closed, Disposable Systems

Launched: 2013 (Solo ❶ and Vype*), 2022 (GO 500 ⓫ and GO Max*), 2023 (GO 700*, GO 800* and GO Edition ⓬ ), and 2024 (GO 1000* and GO 1000 Box*)

Our first e-cigarettes were closed, disposable ‘cigalike’ systems with coil and wick heating technologies. With a cigarette form, these devices offered adult smokers a degree of familiarity when switching. However, due to their size, sensorial performance could be sub-optimal. Almost 10 years later, technological improvements and form changes have seen the advent of ‘Modern Disposables’ that now offer adult consumers both performance and convenience.

Open, Rechargeable Systems

Launched: 2015 (eTank ❸ ), 2016 (eBox ❺ and eTank Pro*), 2018 (eTank Pro 2*), and 2021 (eTank Mini*)

Our open, rechargeable systems offer adult consumers greater control of the vaping experience. Often larger, these systems have bigger batteries that can offer increased power outputs (delivering a fuller vaping experience) and longer times between recharging. With more control, adult consumers can change the heating coils and wicks, e-liquid tank and liquids. However, this maintenance could be an inconvenience for some adult consumers.

Closed, Rechargeable Systems

Launched: 2014 (ePen ❷ and eStick*), 2016 (Vibe ❹ , Pebble ❻ , Ciro ❼ and Alto ❽ ), 2017 (ePen 2* and eStick Maxx*), 2018 (ePod ❽ , iSwitch* and ePen 3 ❾ ), 2020 (ePod 2 ❿ ), 2023 (Pro ⓭ and Pro Smart*), 2024 (Vuse GO Reload ⓮ )

Our closed, rechargeable systems offer adult consumers convenience and choice. Each system comes with a rechargeable device and separate flavour cartridges/pods that contain the heating element and e-liquid. Our earlier systems took a ‘cigalike’ form, which, like our closed, disposable systems, could underperform sensorially.

Our ePen system was the first of our ‘pod mod’ systems, where the e-liquid cartridge/ pod did not look like a filter from a cigarette.

This change in form factor offered adult consumers increased battery life and heating power that provided an overall improved performance compared to our ‘cigalike’ systems.

Our ‘pod mod’ systems have evolved in both form and heating technologies. Earlier iterations of our ‘pod mod’ systems utilised metal coils with cotton wicks, whereas later systems now adopt a ceramic wick with metal heating element. This change in heating technology has enabled a change in the design of our pods, while offering increased performance and consumer satisfaction.
